We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I haven't written a journal since Thanksgiving, yikes. I know I said I would update you when I had my video blog up but it never ended up happening due to a whole bunch of silly reasons. So, if anyone is interested, I will give a short summary here about my internship as an Art Director at Walt Disney World.
So, first off, it's been AMAZING! I've done everything from mobile apps, emails, info-graphics, concept art, storyboarding, and even created a printed mail piece that went out to millions of people! Everyone here is so friendly and helpful and I felt like I fit in wonderfully after just a couple of weeks.
For those of you have never heard of Yellow Shoes Creative Group (which is the name of Disney's design company), we handle all the designs for every Disney Theme Park, Resort, Cruise and pretty much anything Disney does except movies which is handled by a different company out in California. So if you have ever seen a billboard, poster, commercial, or web banner advertising the Parks and Resorts, that was made by the super talented people at Yellow Shoes (and maybe if you've seen something from them lately, I might have had something to do with it!)
If anyone is interested in doing the Disney College Program or a Disney Professional Internship, feel free to ask me anything about it! This has been the best experience of my life and I love talking about it and answering questions.

Hi, i'm ty. I'm a designer, illustrator and photographer (with an interest in web design and animation too). I'm a graphic design student in the BFA program at Florida State University and I work as a graphic designer at the Student Union Marketing Department.
I love Indian and Oriental cultures, Legend of Korra and Last Airbender, anything touched by Hiyao Miyazaki or the Keane family, and grungy textures.
I also have a kitten named Wally who plays fetch and likes spinach more than cat treats.
Hi! I wish I could say something more than 'I love your art' ahaha. It really is incredible, though, and inspiring. I was in a sad mood today and your art, especially your doodles, just cheered me right up!
